A CFO of a company used my audit saving them 12% on merchant account fees went to their vendor and said "match this or we switch." So the vendor matched it. What bugged me was when she called to sort of say sorry and mentioned how it wasn't my intention to save her money. I said, "it was my intention to save you money, but not by staying with your current provider." Here's another great line I've heard: "give me a great deal and I'll refer you to lots of people." From experience, here's what I know. They won't sign up with you, and even if they did they'd refer you to people just like them. Yes.
