Stories work!
Recently I had the opportunity to speak to a room full of people at customer forum. I decided NOT to use multi media, power points or any thing else, just me live! I told them who I was, who my company was, what we did, then I told them a story.
I talked about one of customers and the experience they had before and after we helped them, I was able to paint a picture of a real success story that they could relate to. Not a lot of product info or feature descriptions just a good story.
It worked! I was well received and the President of the firm hosting the forum came up to me and said “that was a great story”
Stories work, try it next time.

CJ is right on…Do you have the confidence to get up in front of a group without a powerpoint presentation, video or any other supporting material? If you do, tell a story about you and your customers. People don’t care about your company, they care about the results you get with your customers.
As Paul Harvey would say – “Now for the rest of the story” – CJ got a few leads from his presentation – real people interested in the same story for their business.
